O My Beloved People, How I Hate You

Nobody loves Iran and cares about Iranians more than Supreme Leader Khamenei and his family:

Khamenei usually listens to 20 minutes of recorded conversations against himself, between opponents or even officials, every night before sleeping...

[His wife] Khojasteh, who has sometimes listened to these recordings, has little patience for the daily groveling of many people. More than anyone, she says that the Iranian people are fawning liars and traitors.

And nobody loves Israel and cares about Israelis more than Bibi Netanyahu and his family:

Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's controversial wife said 'this country can burn' and that the couple would leave Israel in a taped phone conversation played on TV...

"Bibi is a leader who is greater than this entire country, he really is a leader on a national scale. We'll move abroad. This country can burn. This country can't survive without Bibi."

Likewise, the world's biggest Arab patriot, Ahmed Chalabi, hated Arabs, and Ann Coulter and Richard Nixon hated Americans. It's almost like there's some sort of pattern.

I don't believe it's wise to equate the propaganda, true or false, of Iranian Westernizers, with, perhaps only mildly critical "Zionists lite" at this time in American history, when the Zionist Lobby completely controls Congress and can arguably turn it to war against Iran after playing key parts in placing cruel longstanding (as against Iraq) embargoes on it.

Nothing wrong with equating the fatuity and spectacular vanity of a Khamenei, a Netanyahu, and a Nixon. armsplrnational needs a sense of humor.

amspirnational, I understand where you're coming from, but I don't think this website wields such mighty power that it's going to make the difference in anything one way or the other.

Jon, you are probably right that this website does not wield mighty power, but you never know what will happen next, even though sometimes you can make pretty good guesses. This is why you should always do right. As the man said, it will gratify some people, and astonish the rest.

It's almost like there's some sort of pattern.

What IS the explanation? Not only politicians but quite a few other Americans who claim to love their country, from other walks of life
( e.g. pseudo-pundidits ) also have the same contempt or lack of love for fellow Americans. It can't be just arrogance, power or alleged intellect!!??

"Familiarity breeds contempt"----old saying

"Hate your next door neighbor
but don't forget to say Grace"---Barry McGuire

Honestly, I think Israel can make it, can exist, can survive and go on without Bibi. (or OUR 3 billion per year payola for that matter)

What IS the explanation?

It's "The hostility of those who have power" -- http://www.tinyrevolution.com/mt/archives/001395.html

...which in turn is caused by their sense that they're in competition with regular people for power: http://www.tinyrevolution.com/mt/archives/001990.html

there's no doubt that any number of other leaders feel exactly the same way (kissinger, HRC, Cameron, etc.)

the hardest part of the job really is kissing babies, town hall meetings, and pretending to give a flip about the newtown massacres or whatever.

and not letting slip how superior you are.

Thank you for the links Jon.

The hostility of those who have power toward those who can be called inferior because they are different

I certainly noted that in Sen McCain's badgering of Sen Hagel.. he has the power to confirm or not confirm....and boy... is he different from Sen Hagel!! Only in his delusional thinking, he can think of himself as superior...
He behaved in a shockingly shameful way .... just like the pronouncements of two spouses memtioned above

That humans naturally hate anyone with whom they're competing for scarce resources.

About the competition....

I still have not figured out HOW, Mitt Romney felt threatened by the 49% "takers".....that he just wanted to forget about them. MONEY is POWER and people like him have kept the 49% oppressed...how were they going to compete with the likes of him who enjoyed firing people and did it, who MAY have posed a threat to his fortune??!!
Is it possible, some paranoia is involved??

rupa shah: W.C. Fields once said that at one time he was a thief. All his friends were thieves. They would steal most anything they could get their hands on. Time went on, he got prosperous, somewhat and found that once he had a little something he could hardly abide having a thief around. Is OUR Mittens so far different?

That is the way Oil-Qaeda feels about its victims too.

Maybe Mrs Netanyahu, and Mrs Khamenei should get together with Barbara Bush and Ann Romney. Start a club, even. A women's auxillary for The Royal Order of the Priviledged & Clueless. The Royal Order of the cLueless Ladies. (T.R.O.L.L)

I wondered if S.P.K. actually listens to valid criticism, or just goes BillO-style, and listens to tame, ill-informed, logic-impaired critics.
