56,000 Sign Onto Wexler Call For Impeachment Hearings

If you haven't yet, check out the website Wexler Wants Hearings, where Judiciary Committee members Robert Wexler (D-FL), Luis Gutierrez (D-IL) and Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) call for impeachment hearings for Vice President Cheney. If you're the kind of weirdo who thinks the rule of law is a good thing, I strongly encourage you to sign the petition supporting them and then tell everyone you know about it. They have 56,000 people already in just two days, and the more clamor they hear from us here in Lilliput, the more willing they'll be to go further.

Nearly 57K now.

I signed. But there's no way that 56,000 people will be needed to work the radioactive waste facilities of Yucca Flats. So the question before us now is: what will happen to the overflow dissidents?

It is up to almost 63K now. Sunday evening.

Urge Wexler, Baldwin and Guitterez to get behind Cindy Sheehan's call for the impeachment of Nancy Pellosi. While you're at it.

Where's Mike Meyer?

bill, that would be doubly dumb. The point of her impeachment was that she wouldn't impeach Bush or Cheney. That is dumb in itself because she's effectively a figurehead. She can't act independently of the congressional party or she'll be replaced.
But there is no reason for impeaching her if impeachment of Bush or Cheney is moving forwards unless you're a Republican, or one of their tools, a Green, Libertarian, member of the DLC or similar. In which case you're glad of an excuse to attack the Democrats.

Me: I was out signing this petition- I sign ANY THAT MENTION IMPEACHMENT. And I call Nancy Pelosi @ 1-202-225-0100 and DEMAND IMPEACHMENT---have you?

If Nancy gets IMPEACHED---no problem---there will be ANOTHER Speaker of The House along directly.
