Pure Intellectual Inquiry

As Jonathan Chait has explained in the New Republic, blogs are overflowing with propaganda. By contrast, the New Republic is interested only in pure intellectual inquiry.

pure intellectual inquiry rules! I especially like the fact that TNR's acceptance of ad money from groups advocating for school vouchers hasn't stopped them from advocating for vouchers in their op-eds.

worrying about how that might seem is a little, I dunno, impure?

If viewed in a JAPANESE context, Ahmadinejad actually looks perfectly like an Oni on that cover, which is a protector of the household against bad luck and whose mighty club pounds away all remnants of bad luck, bringing good fortune to all. See it ain't THAT bad!
