Already Leagues Ahead Of Today's Other Newborns

Congratulations to Anna and David "Hardest Working Man in Progressive Politics" Swanson on the birth this morning of their son Wesley Neil Swanson.

Incredibly enough, Wesley has already set up his own website. Like his father, he's no slacker.

All day I successfully resisted saying this, but now that my brain has turned into mush, I must say--awwww. What an adorable baby . I think there about seven rules of cuteness demonstrated in this photo:

1) Wear a hat bigger than your head
2) Yarn gauge should be approximatey as thick as your figners
3) Fluffy pom poms are always good
4) Mother's elegant hand is good for demonstrating scale
5) Curl up your fists real tight
6) Close your eyes and furrow your brow meditatively.
7) Be very, very, very new.

Note that I had no idea who these people are, but I have now found out and will probably pay better attention, so the activistling is already getting to work.
