The Anticipation Is Killing Me
I had to get up early this morning to look under the tree. I even shook some of the boxes.
Posted at October 26, 2005 06:31 AM | TrackBackDude, you are so right. I didn't get into my West Coast bed of straw and urine until after the East Coast wankers had already gone to work. I wanted to be sure that they didn't indict without me. It's ridiculous, since indictments themselves are so insiginficant on a global scale -- we still have maybe 150,000 dead in Iraq, newspapers of record that live up to Salman Rushdie's standards of propaganda (he says during one Kashmir war, he learned to get accurate casualty counts by multiplying his side's casualties by 10 and dividing the enemy's by 10; instead we need to multiply ours by 10 and theirs by 5), and a political culture that exonerates all but the mildest crimes. Maybe I should stick to digging holes in cow pastures, eating snake eggs, and being ridiculously cute.
