Comments: An Interesting Fact

$100,000,000 to have Bush apologize for the war on live TV.

In lieu of that, a no-holds-barred Cheney/Saddam cage match on pay-per-view. (When Cheney's heart fails in the first two minutes, he can tag out to Rumsfeld.)

Of course, all these ideas would be horribly offensive to the Arab world and humanity generally. In the end they'd cost us much more than we'd ever make in the first place.

That's pretty much in keeping with the theme of the whole war, anyway. In for a penny, as they say...

Cheney never got over the bitchslaping he got during Gulf War I. He proposed some half-assed idiocy involving parachuting some SpecOps folk into Baghdad to assassinate Hussein and when the generals balked (the SpecOps would have all died with no support lines or ways to get out, it was essentially as militarily brilliant as plowing a bunch of F-117A's into likely spots he was frequenting) he was pissed for years. I really wonder how much his hurt pride from the Bush the Greater admin factored into this whole thing.
