Comments: An Observation

But the question should be "Can Americans be murdered by the Israeli government with impunity?"
And we all know the answer....
How can Bibi and Obama sleep at night is beyond me.

Rupa Shah: The second commenter at your site link has the answer. The Israelis shot up The Liberty and nothing came of it. Plenty-o-Americans there!!!

Good point. The world was so much more honest back when 'citizens' were called 'subjects' and 'leaders' were called 'rulers.' Everyone had a clear idea of where they stood then.

@Mike Meyer
But of course... nothing will happen... that is called impunity and that is the biggest gift USA has given Israel. The Israeli apologists in our govt will always say, "They had it coming to them!".

ps wonder if you ever have been to the state dept's website for a visit to Israel. it specifically states that in case of a problem with Israeli govt, you may not be able to see someone from the USA embassy for even a week!! that is the protection we get from our govt from our or rather the govt's staunchest ally!!

Rupa Shah: Didn't know that, but then I've never visited the State Dept's website. YOU sure don't get much personal service for 3 billion a year any more.

Indeed- murder by Israelis is a leading cause of death in the US.

It is so absurd that people get so upset about car crashes or cancer or AIDS or teen suicide when Zionism kills so many more Americans yearly in aggregate.

How about a floatilla to relieve the suffering at GITMO? Why, THE US CONSTITUTION is being violated down there.

Q. What's worse than biting into an apple and finding a worm?
A. Zionism.

...mmm nah, the "Cancer" punchline is still funnier.

The problem seems to be that we don't give cancer enough military aid.

And without getting all linkcrazy, I think this Guy Rundle piece makes for a nice analysis.

weaver: Read the article, well written. Might I point out, WE THE PEOPLE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA own Egypt too. Mashing the Palestinians is in OUR interests more so than anyone elses, Israeli or Egyptian. Got to keep the wogs divided dontcha know. NOTICE they are being crushed between two of OUR client states. They look bad and WE look---eh. (HINT WE are PAYING 4 both sides of the conflict)

That Guy Rundle article is indeed good.

Gee, I wonder how Egyptians got to be so lucky as to be ruled by Hosni Mubarak?

From Woodward's book Veil(which contains telling information to those who have mastered the art of spoting kernels of truth in bullshit):

"Casey and Inman worried [after Sadat's assassination] that the new Egyptian government of Sadat's protege Vice President Hosni Mubarak would lodge a strenuous, perhaps emotional protest because the CIA, which had trained Sadat's bodyguads, had failed to warn them. But there was nothing, not even a mild complaint."

From marine corps bio of Ali Mohammad (http://www.ctc.usma.edu/harmony/profile_pdf/Ali-Mohammed.pdf):

"In 1981, while Islamist members of his Egyptian Army unit carried out the assassination of President Anwar Sadat in Cairo, Mohamed took part in a foreign officer training exercise at Fort Bragg, North Carolina; at the end of the four-month course he was given a diploma bearing a green beret."

We can only guess what Anwar Sadat would have thought--and publicly said--about the Israeli invasion of Lebanon that happened eight months after he was assassinated. Maybe he would have felt betrayed enough to step back from the peace he had entered into with Israel, and for which he had sacrificed all his credibility in the arab world. Maybe not. That's well beyond me. But maybe somebody thought it was a risk, because the CIA trained Sadat's guards and didn't tell him he was in danger, and an important Egyptian officer from the very unit that assassinated Sadat became a green beret at Fort Bragg the very year of his assassination.

And Hosni Mobarak has been ruling Egypt ever since, as reliable as the head of a client state could ever be.

If only cancer could be cured by drone bombers and tanks! I'm sure we would have it solved by now.
