Comments: Lindsay Beyerstein On Fired Alabama Blogger

Is there any part of Alabama that isn't fucked up by massive Republican corruption? Any part?

I gotta hand it to that state, though. I thought it was just a place you didn't want to be black in. Now, it looks like the state's aristocracy is making the ultimate bid for equality: they're going to strip rights from whites until everyone is in the same boat. Breathtaking.

That's Alabama - forever with a wheel in the ditch and a wheel on the track.

Like the rest of the country's free of this administration's corruption.

Sorry Mike -- did you mean to imply that prosecutors had falsely imprisoned govenors in the other 49 states in the Union? Seriously?

NO One- I didn't say anything like that. I'm thinking MORE of them ought to be in jail with him starting with Bob Riley.

These corrupt AG's are in EVERY state.

Mike, seriously, you're full of it. There are corrupt AGs in every state but NONE of them hold a candle to what went on in Alabama. And don't just shoot back a contradiction -- back up your claim that somewhere in the 49 others there's an AG that has falsely imprisoned a govenor or done something of similar magnitude.

And fuck Alabama and every former Confederate state. We should have slaughtered every enemy officer after the Civil War and dispersed the population and re-colonized it.

No One: YOUR ignorance of ALABAMA politics is almost as disgraceful as YOUR bigotry. I'm fairly sure anyone even running for governor of ALABAMA probably needs to be in jail. Corruption is corruption and is destructive anywhere it exists. Trying to make it qualitative, one corruption is any better or worse than another is IGNORANT. It all originated with Rove(DC) in reality through FEDERAL attorneys. They are with the FEDERAL JUSTICE DEPT.

And Mike proves he's an asshole rather completely.

I just pointed out the govenor was put in prison on trumped-up charges. "Fairly certain" means you have no idea what you're talking about so, naturally, you just pretend -- as I said you would. So, so far, you don't give a damn about justice. Fine.

And then you side with Alabama over the Civil war and accuse me of bigotry?

Try this Mike:

You are a racist. You are, in effect, a right winger. Anyone who thinks that Alabama was right to rape and murder black people is a racist. That isn't too much of an intellectual reach.

If you think that Alabama's racists, present and past, are people you should love, you shouldn't be in the U.S. The best thing you could do for humanity is take up heroin abuse.

Please calm down. I will stop the car if this continues going on in the back seat.

NO One: THE ISSUE of Siegalman's inditement is health insurance and bribes. Scorzie(sp) a MAJOR HEALTH INSURANCE broker (who,by the way, IS a major cause of of the rise in YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE COSTS) was and probably still is Siegalmans partner and close friend. I'm simply saying that I PERSONALLY feel Siegalman is guilty. Just because ROVE AND THE JUSTICE DEPT ARE CORRUPT and cannot pull off a reasonable case, doesn't mean Seigalman didn't take bribes from BIG INSURANCE. I fail to see how this involves the CIVIL WAR, as I feel there were few or no INSURANCE QUESTIONS in that conflict. (YOU've probably NEVER been to ALABAMA) I LOVE THEM because they ARE MY FAMILY---WYATTS, original 1640 land grant family!!!

You have no idea where I've been.

But you do know which side Alabama was on during the Civil War.

You back them during that conflict, you're a racist and a traitor, and you know it. And it only came up because you proclaimed your love for the state.

And anyone who doesn't recognize the trumped-up charges I described above is simply an idiot; even judges have attacked the ruling.

No ONe: The Civil War ended 123 years ago, I'm just now hitting 60. I think I missed the approval vote on the war.
