Comments: Et Maintenant, Le Funnie

No disrespect to Mike, whose jokes are awesome (and great use of visuals), but - the delivery is a bit weird. He needs a ghost-deliverer. Maybe layer it up with a James Mason impression?

No disrespect taken, Saurabh. I'm still learning how.

One of the difficulties--besides the technology at my disposal, which is so-so--is that a listener naturally compares it to the rhythm and polish of professional performers. So I sound dopey, my pacing is unsure, etc.

But the only alternative is NOT doing it, and my feeling (this morning at least) is that I'd rather sound like a dipstick in public than not do 'em at all.

I post 'em as text at my site.

That's fair and admirable.

Can you play with the audio balance on your voice at all? I have a suspicion that it is straining out the lower tones and the resulting timbre is jarring, especially in contrast to the presumably well-mixed-for-digital musical intro and close.
