Comments: The Human Toll Of War

Has anyone told Tenet he's a murderer?

I'll volunteer.

wait a minute, didn't he get a medal or something after he retired? why didn't he tell his kid to tell his peers about the medal, or better yet, let him take it to school?

seems to me that if your boy is being teased for being the son of a murderer and you've got a presidential medal of freedom just sitting there in your drawer and you refuse to let the boy take it to school to show the other kids, that's even worse than being a murderer. did he just forget to, just like he couldn't remember all sorts of shit when the 9-11 comission interviewed him?

Why doesn't he just have his son murdered -- that's how he took care of so many other problems during his careeer.

I'm sure that Tenet's son will get the payback he so richly deserves against those taunting him.  He just has to wait until he's old enough to go into politics and do some killing of his own.

If that causes the son to grow up to be an antiwar hippie, all the better.

Schoolyard bullying sometimes gives you your best life lessons about what a fucked up legacy you carry.

Tenet's just collecting his winnings from where he played the game.

More likely his son will grow up to murder several people at random in a mall.

"Tenet said he is stepping down in part to spend more time with his son.

"I'm going to be a senior with him in high school", Tenet said. "We're going to go to class together. We're going to party together. I'm going to learn how to instant message his friends -- that would be an achievement."

From CNN story on Tenet's resignation.

I think this poor kid has more problems than a few of his classmates teasing him. If that did actually happen. We just have his dad's word for it and we know how to assess the worth of that.
