Comments: Does Iranian Perfidy Know No Limits?

Just as Americans would react if a country invaded the US and occupied it. Its the main reason I favor withdrawing from Iraq. Bush has invaded and occupied a sovereign nation. The only thing I don't understand is why all Iraqis aren't fight to get the coalition forces out.

I am constantly reminded of Noam Chomsky's first rule of fighting terrorism - stop doing it yourself.

I'm also waiting for a Democratic Party presidential hopeful (other than Kucinich) to denounce US policy toward Iran. Methinks that regime change in Iran is too vital to Israeli government interests to get any real opposition inside the Beltway. We shall see. I'm not holding my breath.

Funny, not as funny as Dennis' jokes....Maybe the Iraqis are waiting for our next election to see a change in our policy in Iraq, but I just think the Iranians are only waiting for us to come over the berm.
I believe it was Carlyle who wrote, "Every nation gets the government it deserves". Says a hell of a lot about US, don't it.

>> cause us to invade any country doing them to us

That's the thing!

No country today is being threatened more directly than Iran. Not a day passes without the superpower declaring its intention to wipe it off the map.

Speaking of maps, let's hope the ayatollahs don't look at maps, because if they do they'll see that their country is surrounded by American military hardware on all sides (Iraq, Turkey, Afghanistan, not to mention the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman).

By American standards, for the Iranian leader (who is Khamenei, not Ahmadinejad) to forsake nuclear weapons would probably be an impeachable offense.

The guy would have to be a Chomsky or, worse, a Jonathan Schwarz to simply renounce nuclear weapons. If Khamenei has even a couple of base pairs of American DNA in his genome, he'll nuke up at once.

Do you really think we could get the Iranians to start supporting separatist groups in the US? I'm thinking a few mild "false flag" attacks to make the South think its time to reconstitute the Confederacy. If we're lucky, we'll be rid of the reddest states and the most lunatic politicians (including Bush) before they remember that they receive a lot more money from the federal government than they pay in taxes.

We'd just have to hope that Barack Obama doesn't get too carried away with that Lincoln comparison, and this time lets the house divided get a peaceful divorce. We'll ask for custody of John Edwards, Max Cleland, etc. and visitation rights to DisneyWorld and the Carter Center (I suspect Jimmy will feel obligated to stay behind and continue in vain to talk some sense into his fellow Southerners).

I am curious to find out what blog system you are working with? I'm experiencing some small security problems with my latest website and I'd like to find something more safe. Do you have any recommendations?
